What is the ERA Test?
The Endometrial Receptivity Analysis (ERA) is a genomic test that determines the best time to transfer an embryo. The uterine lining is only receptive to an embryo during a short window of implantation, and in some women this window is shifted earlier or later than the standard transfer day.
By analysing the activity of receptivity-related genes in a small endometrial biopsy taken during a mock cycle, the ERA identifies each woman's personalised window of implantation. The embryo transfer is then timed to that window — particularly useful after good embryos have repeatedly failed to implant.
